it was late on this particular night. i was out looking for my usual kind in dark alleyways and crummy streets strictly preying on useless life. then to the morgue past the graveyard i'm heading downtown. the blvd. lights keep blinding my eyes so i duck into the first place i find. so full of warmth so fucking bright i gotta shield my eyes pull the shades from my coat pocket let em rest on my ears. i grab a seat and bury my face in a drink feel the haze wash over me, from one corner where you hover caught with the edge of my vision, float to me like a ghost.
{later}
of course i wore glasses the whole time. i've never needed vision of that kind. i see your body's alive like serpent.
